Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought a painting back in 2011 by the legendary prime minister of Great Britain, Sir Winston Churchill (i'm sure you know who he is, but hello! go watch The Crown on Netflix if you don't know about him).
The word on the street internet is that Churchill painted the "Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque" after the January 1943 Casablanca Conference, where he and President Franklin D. Roosevelt came up with a plan on how to defeat Nazi Germany. Churchill is said to have given Roosevelt the painting as a memento.
After FDR died in 1945, Roosevelt's son sold it...it's had several different owners before Angie and Brad got it!
AMAZING it sold for 11.5 MILLION.... wow!
