30 years ago, Garth Brooks made history when he first came to Austin to perform on the PBS TV Show, Austin City Limits stage. PBS is moving the home of the Austin City Limits stage, and Garth is returning to Austin to close things out on the original stage 'Studio 6A' which Garth calls "The most iconic studio on the planet".
Garth is doing two nights of shows in Austin, July 20th and July 21st.
Interested in going? It is a VERY exclusive event, that will only hold 200 people. Tickets are going for $2,500, its a fundraising event so the proceeds are going to the Austin PBS Building Recovery Efforts.
The price is pretty hefty, but they promise that because the show will be so small, nobody will be farther away than 45 feet from Garth during the show.
Also, the shows will not be taped for the PBS show, Austin City Limits, so if you're wanting to see the show, the only way is to buy tickets.
If you're wanting more information, or to buy tickets you can check out austinpbs.org/farewell. But, hurry up! There will only be 400 people that get to experience the final two shows on Studio 6A.
