DEBUNKED: Blowing In Your Video Game Cartridges Never Fixed Anything

Game Cartridge isolated on white background

A TOTAL flashback to your childhood (or current times if you're like me, and still play video games) you would load in your favorite video game to your Nintendo, Game Cube, or Playstation. ONLY to be met with a frozen screen or an error message. So, what would you do to fix it? Blow in the cartridge. And it seemed to work almost every time. Now, why were we blowing in it? Who cares, it works!

Turns out, it didn't actually work. PBS Studio has a show called 'It's OK To Be Smart', and their most recent study found that blowing in your video game did absolutely nothing. However, taking the game out of the system and putting right back in, was the actual reason why your game all of a sudden started working again.

I know, I know. This ruined my childhood too. (To be honest, I'm not sure I am ready to believe this yet)
