Carly Pearce Drops Flirtatious New Song 'Call Me'

Carly Pearce is starting off the new year with new music. The country singer has just released a new song titled "Call Me," from her upcoming, self-titled sophomore album due out on February 14.

"This song has the fun, sassy elements that 'Hide The Wine' has," Pearce revealed to fans in December. "I love the confidence of the girl saying, 'I want you and I'm right here, but you gotta come get me!'"

"Call Me" was co-written by Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook along with Emily Shackleton and Busbee, the hit songwriter and producer who is known for his work with Maren Morris, Keith Urban and others. In September, Busbee died at the age of 43 after battling brain cancer.

“No one knew,” Pearce said in an interview speaking of Busbee's brain cancer. “He had some signs of forgetfulness, but then he had the seizure in July and nine weeks later, he was dead. This is the last full record he turned in. He turned it in ten days before he had the seizure.”

"Call Me" follows up previously released new tracks, "It Won't Always Be Like This" and "I Hope You're Happy Now," her duet with Lee Brice. These songs are all expected to be included on the new record.

"From the minute [Busbee] sent me this song that he wrote with my gal [Emily Shackleton] and the boys from [Little Big Town], I knew I had to cut it," Pearce captioned a post shared on Instagram. "Gimme alllll the sass, because after all.... I DID slide into [Michael Ray's] DM’s .... CALL ME IS OUT NOW!"

Pearce wrapped up 2019 celebrating her marriage to Ray on their delayed honeymoon in Jamaica. Looking ahead into 2020, the singer will travel for several shows as she gears up for the release of Carly Pearce on February 14.
