EVENT DETAILS
Join us for our signature fundraising event to benefit Polycystic Kidney Disease research and awareness. Walk a 1.3 mile course and help us raise awareness for PKD - one of the most common, life-threatening genetic diseases. It affects generations of families, striking both adults and children. PKD causes cysts to grow and kidney function to decrease and most often leads to the need for dialysis and/or a kidney transplant. The Walk for PKD brings together a group of volunteers, walkers and supporters uniting to find treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease. We will continue to walk until no one has to suffer the full effects of this devastating disease. Currently there is no treatment or cure but thanks to our supporters - there is hope! Registration begins at 9:30 am and the walk begins at 10:30. There will be breakfast donated from local busisness, blood pressure screening, prize drawings and plenty of information. The event is free but donations and fundraising is expected.
