Christine Quinn Apologizes For "Unqualified Lesbian" Comment

New York City's former Council speaker is apologizing for calling would-be governor Cynthia Nixon an "unqualified lesbian."  Christine Quinn told the "New York Post" she was wrong to bring up the "Sex and The City" star's sexual orientation.  Both women are gay and Quinn took a beating on social media Tuesday for her comment.  Quinn got in trouble after telling the newspaper that Nixon, a supporter of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, was opposed to having a "qualified" lesbian as New York mayor, referring to her own 2013 candidacy.

She says Nixon is unqualified to be governor, period.
