GLENDORA (CNS) - Firefighters today were working to extinguish a blaze that scorched about 60 acres in the Angeles National Forest above Glendora.
The fire was was burning near East Fork Road and Glendora Mountain Road, Ron Ashdale of the Angeles National Forest said.
It was reported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's San Dimas Station about 12:55 p.m., the station watch commander said.
Glendora Mountain Road was closed in Glendora to limit access to the area, according to Glendora Police Department officials.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent a helicopter and two camp crews to assist two Forest Service helicopters and a fixed-wing aircraft in the firefighting effort.
No structures were believed to be immediately threatened, authorities said.
