The results of a study of what's really inside chicken nuggets are out... and you might not want to know.

Researchers in Mississippi took a close look at two chicken nuggets and they found they were made up of 50 percent or less chicken muscle and tissue, like breast or thigh meat people would expect to find.

The rest? Fat, blood vessels, tissue from internal organs and nerves... and in one of the nuggets, pieces of bone.

The nuggets came from two different national fast food chains.

The National Chicken Council disputes the report and points out that the researchers only looked at two nuggets out of billions produced and eaten.
