MARINA DEL REY (CNS) Sheriff's homicide detectives today released a sketch of a suspect in the fatal shooting of a ``courtesy patrol officer'' at a
Marina del Rey apartment complex where he worked.
Deputies were called to the upscale apartment complex in the 4200 block of Via Marina at 2:48 a.m. Monday, according to Sgt. Amore Smith of the
sheriff's Marina del Rey Station.
Patrick Odoikyene, 47, was found shot to death outside the Shores apartment complex.
The suspect was described as a man with a stocky, muscular build and shaved head, a goatee and a medium complexion. He was believed to be in his
late-30s to mid-40s and is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inches tall.

According to the sheriff's department, witnesses heard multiple gunshots and saw a man running from the scene.
