LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A suspect has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a man on a Metro Red Line subway train at a station beneath

An anonymous tip had led investigators to Correia, Gordon said. A warrant was served at his home Friday, and as the dwelling was searched he was arrested.
The stabbing was reported about Monday on the Red Line train, which stopped at the
Jose Edgaro Velazco-Alvarado, 31, was apparently accosted by Correia, who suddenly slashed his throat, according to broadcast reports. The train stayed at the station as paramedics were called, and the station was closed for several hours.
The attack was captured by a video camera inside the train, but the video has not been released.
Velazco-Alvarado was taken to a hospital, where he later died, said coroner's Chief Craig Harvey.
Correia was being held at the West Hollywood Station jail in lieu of $1 million bail, according to the sheriff's online
