LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Long Beach that led to a suspect being taken to an area hospital.
The condition of the suspect was unknown, said Marlene Arrona of the Long Beach Police Department.
Arrona said police were dispatched at 9:47 a.m. to Third Street and Long Beach Boulevard regarding "a person with a gun" call. A SWAT team was dispatched to the location.
At about 11:35 a.m. Metro Blue Line service to the First Street station was interrupted to allow police to conduct a investigation, according to Kim Upton of Metro.
Service has since resumed, according to Upton, who said that there may have been an armed woman who barricaded herself inside a building.
Police were unable to confirm that.
