ROSSMOOR (CNS) - A Rossmoor man was in custody today for allegedly  shooting his two step-grandchildren, authorities said.

Michael Molle, 72, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, and was  held in lieu of $500,000 bail, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock.

The shooting occurred around 8:25 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of  Tucker Lane, Hallock said.

The victims -- a man and woman who are siblings -- were transported for  hospital treatment, Hallock said. The man was treated and released, but the  woman remained hospitalized today with wounds described as life-threatening,  Hallock said.

A handgun believed to have been used in the crime was recovered at the  scene, Hallock said.

``It appears the shootings stemmed from a domestic dispute, but no  further details are being released,'' Hallock said.

Authorities told KCAL9 they believe the victims were a 22-year-old woman  and her 23-year-old brother. The man was shot in a hand and the sister was  reportedly shot in the head, neighbors told KCAL9.

The suspect arrived home from visiting his wife in a hospital and found  the victims were holding a party without his permission, neighbors told KCAL9.  The siblings were recently told they had to move out, neighbors told KCAL9.
