LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The southbound San Diego (405) Freeway will be  closed tonight between Santa Monica and National boulevards as construction  crews realign lanes and shift K-rail.

The stretch of freeway in West Los Angeles will be closed at ,  and is scheduled to reopen at Saturday, according to Metro, which is  overseeing the 405 Freeway improvement project in the SepulvedaPass.

Southbound freeway traffic will directed to exit at Santa Monica  Boulevard and continue south on Sepulveda Boulevard, then back on the freeway  at National.
